The design idea is good but when come to real world the boat is garbage. This boat is junk, that why the manuafacture discontinued. Transom and all kind of problems.

My personal favorite for rough water is a fiberglass with trim tabs. You get the performance of a fiberglass in very rough water with the hole shot of an aluminium hull. best of both worlds, and trim tabs are a lot cheaper than a new boat! ;)

from the outside, the water pressure is pushing the plug into the hole keeping water out. on the inside, the plug would be getting pushed into the hull of the boat. it goes on the outside...
