i took my boat out when the ice in the lake had just melted around the edges but there was still a big sheet floating in the middle that was like 1" or more thick. when me and my cousin left it was all at the end of the lake and on our way back the wind changed directions and blew it into the cove we were trying to get to. my cousin jumped on shore and i went to break through, the motor is only 2.5 hp with a plastic prop so it was intresting had to rev up and down to get through ice.

@gpaul721 nothing special about the prop, aluminum I think. I guess I got lucky.

good eye. 20hp evinrude. finally retired it this summer, needed the fuel pump for a 30hp Johnson.
