Very lucky to have somewhere where one can get a boat tied alongside a slipway. Not too many UK slipways have a pontoon for this, and one even has to almost beach the boat just off the slipway and find a tie up place in places. I was always taught to drive the boat back on the trailer.
Can be easier and quicker. One final point just get to know your slipway if possible and if in doubt, ask for local good advice.

How many feet long is the black line you used to tie off/ control boat?

The rope we used was extremely long but as a general rule docklines should equal two-thirds of your boat's overall length.

In your video, you mention that you can winch the boat on when you retrieve it. I always worry that doing that would put too much pressure on the hook at the bow......can the hook on the bow handle a boat as big as yours ok??? Thx

Hi Zackary, our Baysport is powered by a Suzuki and the other one was powered by a Johnson. Love a good Yamaha motor though :)
