Great work, wish i still had my 12footer.
Back then I used tinboats.net for ideas
You have definitely brought diy boat building a long way in such short time.
I gave in and picked up a ranger a couple years ago but stayed with aluminum series.

WOW Dude....absolutely fantastic job!!!! It's obvious you put a ton of hours on your boat!! Its also clear your very serious and passionate about fishing. I've tried similar jobs over the years but don't have the knowledge, time and place to do anything close to your boats! I would have a lot more money to spend on tackle and not boat payments half my life. Congrats bro, you should be very proud of your new boat!!

Hey Mike when you carpet your utilidecks do you use one piece or several pieces of carpet? I trying to do it but make sure the cuts and folds look good. Do you have any ideas? Also do you have standard specs for your decks or do they chabge from boat to boat?

Dalton Foley you can find them at Lowe's or Home Depot. They're very easy to find and local stores. You might be able to find them at Walmart as well

I've been looking into purchasing a Jon boat recently and I would like to make the entire boat one big casting deck with a trolling motor on the back. Will the higher elevation of the deck have any effect on the stability of the boat?

what struts do you use? where do you get them?

They are 100N 22.5lb gas struts. You should be able to get them on Amazon or ebay. Try and find some that are outdoor rated.
