This was part of series of "safety tips" I wrote and produced for KTUU-TV. Each client could pick a topic for a PSA to run prior to their own spot. The Central Peninsula Hospital, who sees way too many drownings every year, chose boating safety. I knew from previous boating safety interpretive sign work that men in particular are prone to not wearing their lifejackets so I wanted to write something that would "hit them hard enough" to be heard. (The station thought it was too impactful to run prior to the client's spot - but the hospital held strong.) It has since been picked up by the State of Alaska's boating safety department and won an award or two for them, I believe.
