Not a good tip! This can create erosion to the ground at the end of the ramp! Thats what creates steps at the ramp. Nice rib tho

Never do this, the salt water will destroy your trailer, only wet the tires, take a rope to bring the boat without anyone on the boat and use only the winch of your trailer to put the boat on it.

I just winch mine up, that looks fraught with danger.

Here's another dangerous video - agree with the comments below about power loading - the prop will hit the ground soon enough. But the really stupid bit is submerging the trailer like this for a light boat. Now, how long do you think the bearings / brakes / wheels will last doing this? And of course, most people won't hear the tell tale noise of the bearings chewing themselves to bits and wonder wtf went wrong when the wheel falls off. This video is a joke by people who should no better.

Lol you don’t know anything about loading a boat —-trailers axle is always under water jt service them yearly and check every few trips

So how do you recommend loading the boat?
I've been manually loading mine, but the breaks of the car are extremely unhappy (sometimes the car starts slipping back) with the slow process of manually reeling it in, as it's not a small boat.

I didnt know there was any other way than to power load. 20 seconds tops im on my trailer and out of the other boaters way. its only harmful if you dont know what your doing. Yankees who rope load take up too much valuable time on the ramp, but more than likely put their boat crooked and halfway hanging off their trailer, then have to re-drop and try again. Grow a pair and drive the damn boat up onto the trailer  and quit internet bitching

If you're going to make a video on how to load your boat back on the trailer please don't teach people how to power load. one that is incredibly lazy two it destroys the dock and 3 why do you need to powerload you have a roller set up

3 people to load the boat always makes it easy plus extreme "power load" is bad for many boat ramps, illegal in some areas.

People saying too much power, shouldn't powerload etc, note that if you ever have to use a versadock you basically have to do the same thing and there is no winch so you can't bloody rope load it. You have to drive up it. Also it takes more throttle than you might think so he used a reasonable amount of throttle here really.

I hate all roller trailers. They leave too many impressions in the gel coat.

Yes you can. If it was illegal it would be in the boaters manual. I powerload all the time, and so does other people at the ramp. Dumb asses like u are why the ramp gets crowded

People of the sea that are afraid of getting their feet wet. That was a dangerous manoeuvre. Too much power .

if thats a little bit of throttle i'd hate to see him use a lot!

Power loading causes holes and drop offs at the end of the ramp. Not very nice thing to do to other boaties.

If you went to get wet it would be called swimming. I always power off and on.

Powering on cups out the bottom of the ramp. The hole then swallows trailer tires when they fall off the end of the cement. People who go boating and don't want to get wet hand cranking the boat back on, shouldn't go boating.

Power loading is the only way to do it, unless you like getting wet....

All I would add is never rely on the winch when putting your boat in or out, always add a line just to be sure if the winch fails you don't loose the boat.

power loading is not frowned upon here in the lone star state.
christofer128

you should use the pulling rope to load it......a mistake with the throttle or miss allying can mess up the things

Power-loading? No thanks. I call it courtesy to my fellow boaters. I boat on the ocean so at the ramp I use power-loading roils up the water and bottom silt pretty good and pushes any debris to the same area. At low tide this area becomes a problem. It's busy and there's almost always someone behind me or waiting their turn. It only takes a minute or two to hook it and crank it on.

Been power loading for years. Don't see anything wrong with it. It's a lot easier and faster.

@LONElYxISlAND Not if the ramp is built properly. The people who use a rope to load tie up the boat ramp needlessly.

powerloading is easier but it does hurt the lake bottom and can eventually wreck the ramp i just use a rope and have no problems

@rdwafer75 Power loading is SOP everywhere I have ever been in the US. I understand that a few Northern states don't allow it, though.
