Lifejackets should be worn, but in the U.S. you don't necessarily have to. In my state if you are under 16 yrs. you have to wear a jacket, if your older you don't have to, I guess your considered superhuman. lol

its similar where i can. you only need it in the boat, dont need to wear. odd, i guess if you knock yourself out, apparently the jacket will jump on you to save you.....

Thanks for your comments Phill, Yes we see many boaties not wearing lifejackets, the message will get through eventually. I assume you live Kawakawa being the Bay of islands ??
