Hey I was planning on a 10 gallon aquarium. Would it be acceptable to have about 4 or 5 panda cories? Also I hear these cories are a little harder to care for. Is this true? Have any panda cories died in your tank?

I've kept them singly before and they never showed any signs of stress.

I've never had them before. I think 4 or 5 would be ok, but no more. And you can keep cories as singletons if you want. If you have more than one, they'll hang around together though.

+Tim Bangert I wouldn't slam it from 6.5 to 7.8 all at once, but if it's adjusted slowly, they should do ok in 7.8 pH.

It should be right around neutral. Maybe a little acidic, since I don't do frequent water changes.

The Dwarf Gourami in particular is subject to constipation with too much protein. Don't give the DG bloodworms more than once a week to be safe. They'll love algae wafers though, and so will the cories and plecos and mollies.

Rasboras,plecos cory cats, dwarf gourami and platys. Ok , yeah I dont feed them that much.What does to much protein do to them..curious.Trying to learn as much as I can.

What kind of fish? I'd go easy on the bloodworms. Only once or twice a week. It's a lot of protein.

Honestly, it depends on what you feed them.
White and stringy isn't good though. That usually indicates something wrong in the gut.

My corys put eggs on the glass of my tanks often but I only had one baby survive so far. Never saw any of the fry but that one and he was the size of my neons bofore I saw him or her.

Nice, however I really doubt any of the fry will survive. That Gourami will snack on any fry that do hatch from the eggs.
