What is the substrate?I love your tank

Jobber - 8 years ago

Krystina Marino yup. The plants in the tank are all real. There are some plants that surprising do well and grow in sand. Just do your research onlinr into which plants.

Krystina Marino - 8 years ago

And are the plants real? I am gonna do at least a 20 gallon tank with cory catfish, neon tetras and a few of my platies but unsure on the substrate but I do love the black more.

Jobber - 8 years ago

Krystina Marino hello. Thanks. The substrate is black sand.

Dave Giles - 8 years ago

I've got 12 in my 55 community tank with a bunch of nano fish, I added a bunch of java moss around base of my driftwood an about a month later baby pandas started appearing in the tank.

Cory Keepers - 9 years ago

Would 5 of these be acceptable for a 10 gallon aquarium?

Cory Keepers - 9 years ago

Jobber Okay! I'll try that along with a marine land shrimp diet that I hear is also good quality

Jobber - 9 years ago

Cory Keepers what do you feed your fish? try earthworm pellets for corydoras by "kens fish food" or "your fish stuff".

Cory Keepers - 9 years ago

Definetly. Been doing that for my preparation. The scape in my videos in not the one that I curently have. Videos are just a couple days behind schedule

Jobber - 9 years ago

Cory Keepers big decisions lie ahead. I'm sure you'll upgrade to a larger size tank in the future after college. get some videos up of your fish and tank for us all to see.

Cory Keepers - 9 years ago

Jobber They certainly won't be in there longer than 3 years when I go to college. I'll probably get myself a 20 then.

Cory Keepers - 9 years ago

Jobber definetly. I also may end up moving them to a larger tank if my folks trust me enough to care for the tanks

Jobber - 9 years ago

Cory Keepers try them out. they're a joy yo keep in the aquarium.

Cory Keepers - 9 years ago

Jobber Okay. I have great hiding places and decent surface area so I'll probably be okay then. I also have great filter media

Jobber - 9 years ago

Cory Keepers it depends on how many more fish (bioload) you have in that 10 gallon tank. they fish do best when there's room along the bottom of the tank to scurry around. provided that there are hiding areas and quality water parameters, i dont see why it should not be acceptable. i was able to keep 10 in my old 10 planted gallon.

Tony Skywalker - 9 years ago

I have 10 of these, with 50 something other fishes and added to the tank at the same time, Corycats started acting like it's their home within 30 minutes. Love these non stop eaters.

Jobber - 9 years ago

Tony Skywalker your fish are certainly comfortable and will do well in numbers. i find that the bigger group i have in my tank, the healthier the fish are. safety in numbers.

Anchovy Run - 10 years ago

What size tank is this? It looks amazing!

Jobber - 10 years ago

Tank size is 33 gallon long (48"x12"x12") Length x width x height.

Jobber - 13 years ago

Don't know why your comments keep being registered as spam I keep missing out your comments. Hope my name doesn't get released by youtube. Rather keep an alias.

Jobber - 13 years ago

The substrate is Estes Ultra Reef Marine Black Sand. Basically aquarium safe black sand.

Katrina Maree - 13 years ago

Hey bud a slight change on my channel ...name will be posting new videos soon

Jobber - 13 years ago

I've never had the african butterfly fish. I've only kept South American fish and goldfish.

Jobber - 13 years ago

Yeah i've heard of those. My local pet store also has them. They do look upside down. They're from Africa.

Jobber - 13 years ago

Yeah they are. Probably the fish I've been able to keep and breed. I find this type of corydoras are more social compared to other types i've kept in the past.
