Very neat tank. What size is it? I have 5 different species of cory's in 1 tank and I love them. So much personality and character. What kinds do you have? When feeding frozen cubes I like to stick them on the glass to it's easier for the fish to nip at it.

Haha, I thought it was weird that I did not mention them in a 145 G "Special" :-) No worries! I think palateus is the same as pepper but I am not sure. I try to tell people the Latin names because they are the same everywhere. :-)

Yes, it's a long story. My microsorum plants on driftwood are attached to malaysian driftwood, before I had another one in there. That one is attached to spider wood. So 2 of my oldest favourite fantails got stuck in the plant, They hurt them selfes and did not make it.

Sure you like this "crazy" aquarium Zack my friend. But wait a week or so and watch how "stressed-out" your lovely goldfish will be. These beautiful rainbowfish are constantly swimming in "every direction" around your sweet goldfish. How can they rest in this environment? Your faithful large water changes will "speed up" their growth too. It's a "ticking time bomb" my friend ..... just saying!

It is not optimal for goldfish. I have been selling some of my fantails. But I do not think it is a ticking time bomb. And the 12 biggest Rainbows have been with the fantails for a couple of months. But you are entitled to your opinion. Thanks for watching. :-)

The light over the pothos has really made it huge. I have trimmed it down about 10 times. And it's not even been there for a year. :-) Be careful feeding eartworms to small goldfish. You may need to cut them into smaller pieces.

Zacks Tanks Crazy Aquarium Guy I have a few pothos plants going, but I haven't seen those results. Granted, they aren't as large as yours lol. It does keep my nitrates at a reasonable level, but I still have algae and only leave my lights on for 6hrs. XD
I've never thought of feeding earthworms! I'll have to look into that. Mine do get quite a large variety of food as it is though. Haha :)

I can watch that tank for a long time. :-) Love it.
Answers:
1. Yes! The flow is to strong for Goldfish, I would not do it again If I could change that.
2. A plant that is over water, consumes 10 times more nitrates then plants under water. So the algae stands no change against the huge pothos plant. I have thrown in stuff covered with algae in that tank, but they disapear. :-D And the 145 Gallon has a lot of light, and still I have the lights on for 12 hours with that tank. That is why I am always talking about the pothos plant. It is AMAZING against nitrates.
3. They get repashy, frozen foods, flake foods, live food, eartworms, grans and algae tablets. Pretty much everything you can think of.

For some reason I suck at raising brine shrimp...so I thrown in the towel on that one..I do however have a worm farm - and that is the only live food I feed my fish...I feed the worms what I want the fish to eat...so foods high in vitamin c..and lots of greens...Because I know what my worms are eating I know they are clean and contaminate free....and the oscar, severums, gold fish and angels all love their worms....those torquoise are stunning....nice deep blue.
