but seriously, i've seen noobs introduce cories to their tanks before their nitrogen cycle even finishes and those cories still lived

Hmm yea, if your fish are looking healthy then i wouldnt add salt or anything else. Salt really is a great product for fixing ich, fin rot, ulcers, bacterial infections, and other illnesses in fish, but it can definitely kill your plants. I would only look into salt if your tank is not planted and only if your fish have some skin/scale disease

+HardyAquariums My LFS tells me I should but I have never added salt before & my fish seem very happy without it.Ive been told the LFS is just trying to sell products.Im just looking for advise.Thanks for any help

+Mike F. It depends, but if you have plants, i'd say don't use salt. Why do you ask about using salt? Are you having ich or fin rot?

The tank looks great. Your angel fish look really look nice. I saw some marble angel fish at the LFS but they were not for sell.
How many watt's you using on that tank. It's hard to tell how bright it is because of the camera auto light control. I'm gonna try to turn mine off on my camera to see how it comes out. Thanks for sharing man.

+HardyAquariums I change the white balance from auto to florescent and there is a big difference. It kind of looks better since we use florescent t5's. 'll play with it some more tomorrow.

+HardyAquariums The marble fish were white and had orange with black design on there body. They were beautiful. I use my phone too it's the Galaxy S5. I just check the camera menu they must have it under a different name.

marbles are really cool. what colors were they? Well, its something like 3 wpg. Im using a 48" finnex ray 2 fixture. Its pretty bright for no Co2, but i can control the algae with floating plants and water changes. I'll check out that camera setting thing. I use my phone, and the quality is great, but youre right about the light settings
