Thanks so much I will try that.. I live in Florida and the mom and pop shops are the only shops that carry discus.. But I can tell they are cross bread and I'm looking for pure bread any advice on that

+Codey Sobrino I highly recommend you check out Kenny's Discus. Great Discus and prices will be much cheaper than your LFS including shipping if you buy quite a few.

I have 2 discus in my 125 I tried adding a new discus but he got bullied by the other two so I had to take him out any advice?

+Codey Sobrino Yeah its pecking order. This will current when you introduce new fish to any tank. I also recommend you get a group of 6-7 Discus to reduce the bullying.

A 70 gal should be able to house 6-7 adult Discus. Since its a new tank, you can buy half of them first to allow the tank to build up in beneficial bacteria, then get the other half in 3-4 weeks.

+dope sack It went through a 3 month deworm/internal parasite treatment last year in a QT. He pretty much look the same going in / out of that treatment. He's been eating fine, just looks really bad.

+Nikki G That red Discus went through a 3 month deworm/internal parasite treatment last year in a QT. He pretty much look the same going in / out of that treatment. He does look really bad, but I'm not going to kill him if he's eating and pooping normally, so he'll continue doing his thing in the tank.

Tank and fish look great man. It looks like you can cut the Ludwigia White into a few stems and put it where theres more light. propergate the hell out of it man $15. a stem I would.

+Ruben Yup, I've noticed that too. They curly alot when they float. I do the same thing when I'm waiting to ship out the pre-cut stems.

+j03yYunG Aquariums I've notice that also with the plants floating. Have you figured a way for the plants floating to stop them from curling. If I'm shipping a plant or two I tie them to a rock and let them float near the surface so they don't curl up. A lot of carbon near the surface and the plants love it.

+Ruben Hey Ruben, I did last year. I put the sick one in a QT tank and treated him for worm/internal parasite for 3 months. Doing 50% daily water change with high temps. The way you see him now was the same when he went in for treatment. Even at the treatment phase, there was no sign of white poop. He was eating fine the whole time so that's why I put him back in the main tank to be with his buddies.
When I float the plants, they grow much faster because its close to the light / surface for gas exchange.

+j03yYunG Aquariums I like how thick the stem is on those Pogo Kimberley. When you move the plants that you have floating what a difference in the plant's. I notice how shinny that fish is (Why) Are thee other fish bothering him and don't let him eat. Have you try putting him in a tank by himself. I like that you keeping him. Thanks Joey.

+Ruben Haha, I'm in no rush. What I want to do is grow out the submerge part a bit more before trimming and re-planting it. Those Pogo Kimberley I have in the tank were $12/stem when I got them.. and look at how many grew since than. :)
