This is the discus's 2nd day in the tank and they are already nibbling on blood worms. January 22 2012 *EDIT* The tank has been stripped down, the fish and plants sold, and is now a 180 gallon reef tank in the making! I might put a video of it up soon. I will still answer any questions about this tank though!

Thanks! I keep the water at around 80 to 82 degrees. I feed my fish slowly so that they get all the food and it doesn't pollute my water causing algae blooms. I had a big problem with green slime algae (cyanobacteria) but it finally died down after a few weeks of pristine water. When ever I see some algae starting to pop up I use a plant safe, algae control chemical. I forget the name but you will find it at any good aquarium store.

So beautiful, I have a planted discus tank too. I keep the temperature at 87. And the plant didn't do so well. What is you temperature. How do you control the algae?

Thanks! The whole setup was around $3000. That includes fish, plants, filtration, lighting, ect
