19 January, 2012 - Green Terror in Discus Community Tank

Today, I took a risk by adding a 12 cm (5 inch) Green Terror to my aquarium with Discus Fish, Tetras, Cory Cats, Silver Sharks, Gouramis, Loaches and Apistogrammas + more. My Green Terror is peaceful, and gets along with all my fish, although sometimes, my Discus Fish will pick at it. The Green Terror will strike back by chasing that Discus Fish across the tank. I named the Green Terror "Tanuki". It is a very intelligent and tame fish.

Inwould worry more if you had a female terror bc that is when they get agressive but also the gouramis are fin nippers never had good luck with them and peacful fish

My 5 1/2 inch Jack Dempsey ate my firemouth, electric yellow, and others. My 2 inch green terror gets picked on by my 2 inch pink convict cichlid. Also, my 4 inch red zebra chases it away from its "territory". Occasionally, my 2 inch electric yellow will also chase it. It's weird, my my would be monster fish green terror is so nice, doesn't bother the 4 inch blue three spot gourami, or the 3 inch blood parrot, or anyone else.

mine is smaller and much more agressive.i raised him in a 35 gal tank and about 4 inches i put him in my community tank with grown angelfish, bala shark, pleco and gouramis.the next two days a big angelfish was almost dead, the bala shark was missing scales and the pleco was all bitten, so the terror returned to his 35 gal.you are very lucky with that green terror, very nice tank!!
