Welcome to Aquascape TV. This time we will share to you, our 2018 New Year's Aquascape Setup. New incoming year, new planted tank layout! This layout will be the best new year’s decoration in your living room. In this video, we will share to you about step by step to make this beautiful planted tank layout. First, add about 1 centimeter of substrate below the gravel to give long term nutrient storage for the growth of plants. The gravel is distributed with the slope upwards towards the rear wall of the aquarium. This way, you can achieve depth and perspective. Then make a hardscape of rocks, wood or other decoration material of your taste. A nice hardscape creates room and perspective for both fish and plants. The easiest way to plant in the aquarium is at a water level just a few centimeters from the bottom. The aquarium is inspired by white sandy beaches with few plants spreading from the jungle in the background. The red and well-lighted Nymphaea lotus creates a natural point of focus among several variations of green plants in this aquarium. The front with Staurogyne Repens glides naturally into the plants in the middle, including Microsorum Pteropus 'Trident' and Anubias Barteri var nana 'Petite', resulting in a harmonic connection between the front and middle. The plants in front are sloping a bit from left to right, in order to offer the viewer, who naturally sees this aquarium from the right side of the room, a great perspective. Between the big rocks, Vesicularia ferriei 'Weeping' comes rolling like small waterfalls, tumbling to the sea from inside the dark jungle. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy the video.
