i noticed this vid. is a few years old , how did it work out with the geo's and the rummy nose tetra's .
i have discus and rummy's without a problem but i'm nerveous about introducing geo's .
can somebody tell me if this is o.k. or am i looking for trouble ?

Rummynose are a lil risky with geos. They settle near the bottom when they sleep at night. So they might be eaten if a geo gets a taste of them accidentally and realises it's eaay food. Same with cardinals and neons too. Harlequins stay at the surface and are a better choice.

Beautiful tank and fish but for me the large number of Tetris is too much ,really think discus look better on their own and all the small fish are a distraction that don't really add anything,looks too busy.

They are bigger and have wider bodies. Discus can't eat them

Neons are too small and slender. Will be eaten. Even cardinals are risky

you can add up to 60 small tetra. they'll look muck better if they are a single species

No big fish in the tank eat the tetras ☺ but i do loose a few tetra.. during water changes or if a few wash into my sump filter

E Wright 200 was the target. and that's how many I ended up with now. small tetra tend to wash into my overflow and disappear.. and I also lost some through the drain pipe during water changes. Can't help it in my big tank.
these fish have grown a lot now and I won't be loosing more

Nice tank what them do you set it at as I have ten harlequins in quarantine to go in with my discus, I keep my discus at 30c but might need to lower temp for harlequins
