This is my new 65 gallon discus tank. A pair of discus was in a 20 gallon tank, and other 4 juvenile discus were in a 30 gallon tank. As they are getting larger, I decided to move them from two tanks into a 65 gallon tank. I put 2 bags of Seachem Flourite Dark (7kg/bag) and Caribsea Instant Tahitian Moon (40 lb) and then I cycled the new tank with AquaClear power head for a week using Seachem stability, Discus buffer, and Discus trace. I also plant a large Madagascar Lace Plant in the middle of the tank. I was afraid that the temperature of discus tank water maybe too warm for the plant, but the bud bloomed and it looks fine so far. The API fresh water test kit showed good result, so I moved my discus to the new tank with previously used power filters after one week of cycling. I'll keep testing PH, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate in the water every day until 2 weeks after starting the cycle.
