Quick update on my auto pilot discus tank that I've finally been putting more time into. After months of nothing but water changes I finally got the co2 running and now have a developing pearlweed carpet. I'm gonna add more plants as soon as I get a solid dosing schedule because I've been killing plants in the past and I dont want to waste anymore money. Your fish look very nice. I agree with you on how people often go overboard with water changes. It really isn't necessary to be doing them at a frequency of every other day. I do a 30% water change every 2 weeks and my discus are growing solidly and are disease-free. You could probably reduce the algae growth by lowering your light levels on the Vallis plant however most carpet plants will not survive in a lower light.

im really considering trying my hand at a discus tank!... those fish are dope!.... whats smallest tank I could have for these guys? 75 gal? ... glad to see your back.. I love that intro it never gets old.. be easy!

+CJ'S AQUARIUMS 75 is plenty of space, If you can pull of a sick reef discus are gonna be easy. Just gotta keep up the water changes.

+KALZONE850 It is kinda of a pain, I tried all 8 bulbs at once and it was almost like algae grew instantly
