This 3ft tank is very costly as per him. I made 3.5ft tank with all ADA products and various tissue culture plants , just rs. 31,000/-
including co2, external filter driftwood ect. Really in this video nothing is special I found. After end of this video when asking about rich & poor people what amount can invest? I would like to suggest if rich people go ahead with this video they will waste their money & poor people will loose their interest about planted tank.

My aquascape aquarium cost me for 1000. In which instead of such fertiliser or expensive sands I had used the normal mud and the plants I had used is the cheapest ones which I got from kurla market for 150 per bunch , borrowed the 4 ft tank from my friend and kept the 3 dourzon of guppies in it.

Normal red soil got for free from the garden near my house , 2 bunch of guppy grass and amazon plant for 300 , 3 dourzon of guppy for 700 and the 4 ft tank I got for free.

Dwarf cichlids can be kept in the tank. German, electric blue, golden rams and apistos can be kept in a planted tank. There are a lot of fishes which can be kept in a planted aquarium.

The main reason you keep tetra varieties in a planted tank is that they are small in size so that you can enjoy the beauty/scape of the tank more also they dont harm the plants by eating or up rooting it. Another good thing is they travel together of big groups called schooling/Shoaling which is a beauty of its own to watch...

One other reason for keeping small characins like tetras is the fact that they consume less feed quantities than typically consumed by cichlids or cyprinids. Smaller sizes also make it easier on the filteration systems of the aquaria. Excess bioloads, tend to lead towards higher levels of nitrates and nitrites byproducts of the ammonia cycle which if left unchecked can swing water parameters like pH. Addition of CO2 also has a minor effect on on the pH and carbonate values of water.

Besides tetras, hokey sticks, danios (smaller variety), redline torpedo Barbs, neon gourami and dwarf varieties of gourami are also good options for a planted aquarium. Planted aquaria are an artform.
