This is the best way I’ve been doing it like this for a year now and no problems at all.

The rams I bought were wild caught and since there was a significant pH difference between my water and the water in the bag, the plop and drop method probably would've killed them. I do plop and drop when I get fish shipped to me, but when it is from the fish store I usually drip.
Your discus look great and are eating vigorously which is a great sign. You should be careful adding new fish to your discus tank without quarantining them in another tank for a few weeks of observation.

Yes I understand now. Luckily for me I had no diseases spread. I will not be adding anymore fish without quarantine now. Thanks for the comment!
