Yesterday i've added invitro plants (cryptocoryne crispatula) to my south america discus fish tank / aquarium. I hope they will grow fast and give some of my "weaker" fish place to hide from the more dominant fish (i have 3 of them).

GuyWithDiscus there’s a media called Biohome ultimate that supposedly breaks nitrates down too I’m looking at buying that but it’s about 15-20 per litre and I need about 5 litres lol

I also love the idea of having tetras. They look nice! I'm actually happy with the filter. But when i do feed a lot of beefheart i do have more nitrate in my tank. I also think beefheart is a bit messy. So i think an additional filter could help. I'm changing around 50-60% water each week (200-250l) and its fine like this. Hmm and everybody has started once with discus. So nothing to be intimidated.

GuyWithDiscus you did a great choice, its very elegant at the fish looks amazing in it. I think i will try a jungle amazon aquascape with tetras and possible some discus, (I don’t have any experience with them, so it intimidates me a little). I will se how good the LED is first and then see what i can do, will be interesting, and very fun. Do you find the juwel filtration to be adequate? And how often do you do water changes?

Cool! I think you made a good choice with this tank. I'm really happy with it (even if i have the T5 version). The LED version came out 2 weeks after i bought my tank. Do you already know what kind of fish you want to keep?

Hi there. I feed them beefheart, artemia, bloodworms, mysis shrimps, krill and granules. Only non frozen food is granules. I‘m lucky that they eat everything! Never had feeding issues...
