How’s everybody doing? I hope you are doing well. So today I want to do a recap of the Aquascaping contest held inside of an entirely saltwater show inside Reef a Palooza NY 2017. In this video I am going to show you all some of the highlights from the show itself as well as show you all the winners of the LIVE Aquascaping contest. The Ending was actually the worst case scenario for me initially, but the aquascaper’s worked with me on a fair resolution and we were able to figure out who the winner was. There is a certain energy to this show that isn’t like other trade shows. As I have said before, Lou and Vic and the entire Reef-a-Pallooza crew put on a pretty killer event. I am especially fond of both the location of this event being in the Largest Market in the USA and also for the fact that it’s put on during the summer, a typically slower time of year for the fishtank hobby. I got in mid afternoon on Friday and thanks to a flight cancelation, by United, I had to setup on my own, without Josh. While setting up a trade show is work. I did get to run into a few famous people while setting up. I went to bed early on Friday as I had a big day ahead on Saturday. Sham-wow Saturday. As some of you have observed, I have slight resemblance to the Sham-wow guy and I am working on another video spoof playing him…. I decided to try out my new persona…More on that in a bit. The doors to Reef-a-Palooza don’t open until 11. You can see here that there was a line out the door AN HOUR Before hand. I was able to get the aquascapers in early so they could get started before the madhouse began. While I love actually getting out and meeting people, “Out of the tank” as I like to call it, setting up fishtanks on the fly and tearing them down is never a fun thing. The fun part for me is that Dennerle had the scapers tanks ready to roll. I have to give a shout out to Big Billy Pipes for helping me out by unboxing all of the scapers tanks and setting them out for me in advance. THANKS MAN! The doors were opened at 11 and the crowds started piling in like they always do. Luckily Josh showed up so I was able to break free from the booth for a second and actually see what was going on. You’ll notice the Sham-wow look in full affect. Check this chick out. No She doesn’t have a fishtank and NO she had not ever seen my YouTube channel. But she absolutely wanted to get her picture taken with the Sham-wow guy. No seriously- She thought I was the sham -wow guy.
