This is my 3rd fresh water aquarium which has Discus, a turtle, three types of angelfish and some neon tetras. I always wanted to keep discus but the myths and people's views always made me take a step back. Discus are just like regular fresh water fish. Yes, there are a few things one should keep in mind before keeping Discus but that's totally worth it. I mean just look at it, isn't it the most gorgeous and best looking fish you've ever seen? Small Turtle breeds are ban here in India

Turtles are cute when small. But as it gets larger, you will find missing neons and wounds on Discus (especially the fins). Turtle is also a carrier of parasites and bacteria (especially E-coli) which can cause an infection outbreak in the tank. I personally would never mix turtle with fish ever.
