I have noticed if I add angels to my discus tank they can be nippy on the discus. That could be what happens. It shouldn't be a problem. But that will happen when you feed high quality/protein foods

i have a only discus tank the 150 gal they realy eat slow when you are feeding them when i give them black worms ore bloodworms alive ore frozen , there gone in 40 seconds 2 blocks in in the morning , noon and evening , there whell fed so thads not the problem . ps the wood is okey to stay in the wild discus live in rivers with a lot of branches ;)

maybe little advise, discus and angels are prone to internal parasite, i suggest you to do some prevention like metronidazol, i do it with all my new angels and discus, same as people do with they dogs

Sorry to say your Discus Don't look very good......they look beat up and have peppering do to the dark substrate.............Tank looks beautiful......Id get rid of all other fish except.....the neons and bottom dwellers.... angels are very terretorial.....

James I really like your tank, I hope you are able to feed the discus well. They grow by the amount of food you feed at this size. If you feed once every other day they won't grow big. Not going to be close to 6 or 7 inches that way. Also did you check if the medicine you used has any effect on the carbon? I've ruined my carbon with medicines in the past. Lucky for me it was not that much. I saw someone suggest a background or painting the back. That is really good both for the visual aspect and for your discus. Less distraction for them. They feel more secure if light can't come from all sides. Try to feed your discus something that doesn't immediately sink like a rock. Easier to eat in the middle of the tank than on the bottom for them. Keep up the videos man, they are of such a good quality.

You shouldn't feed your discus blood worms because they don't have the right nutrition for discus. They can even become addicted to blood worms and refuse other food and they will become unhealthy if this happens.

Start mixing in a quality beef heart mix with the blood worms (stendker good heart spirulina). Don’t get them hooked on blood worms. They won’t eat a thing else. I hardly feed my discus bloodworms.

You're taking a risk when adding another discus. Your current fish have a pecking order and will most likely start allover when adding another discus

I had to remove a piece of driftwood from my tank too. The thin driftwood trend should end because it has done a lot of damage to fish fins, from what i have been seeing. I do like the angelfish in this tank in combination with the discus it adds more character and color to your tank!

hey babe. thaw ur blood worms in a little container of tank water n drop em in a few at a time n i think theyll get to eat more of them before they sink... thats how i feed my dwarf puffers n they eat better.... less competition for the food....

Yep. Corys require a lot of protein to remain healthy, in the form of blood worms, black worms, etc. They scavenge meat in the wild. I feed black worms daily to my Amazon Puffers and slect other tanks. I keep them in the fridge, and change their water daily. Tap water is fine. They always last a couple of weeks.. Nice video.

You said you added salt to the tank. Cory cats don't tolerate salt and they can die from it. Please don't add anymore salt if you don't want some dead corys

salt is not recommended for discus also if your not sure meds are not good unless needed ,one thing that my discus really like is catappa leaves it might be worth trying them

Why move the angelfish if he isn't really causing any problems? I'd remove the wood because decor is less important than the fish. Also you said tiger barbs in the video but I did not see any lol. I think those were a different kind of barb.

Paint the back of the aquarium? I paint mine the same colors of the walls behind them, that way the painted backs not only hide the tubes/filter/cords but it gives the illusion that those cords and tubes are not even there because it looks like the tanks are flush to the wall.
