I've never tried it. I think it's sold in Europe. It looks very similar to the food in our video. Maybe buy a small can and try it out.

@GwynnbrookFarm ok thanks. i have a 28 UK gallon tank ot 126 litres. Do they get along with guppys and mollies? and is their a smaller discus breed?

You really need a large tank for discus. They are shoaling fish and do best in large groups(5 or more). And stocking density should be 1 adult discus per 10 gallons of water. So the smallest size aquarium for a group of 5 discus would be 50 gallons. If you decide to get discus, try to get at least 5. More is better. The fish will feel more secure with less stress and aggression from the dominate discus will be spread over a larger group of fish.

Hi Ty, Most of our filters have uplift tubes. I just need to get some more. They'll still filter, but are not as effective without the tubes. We don't even need filters in the tanks since they are on a central system. An air stone would suffice. I'm really the main filter since I change their water in this system twice a day. :) I don't think we have Tetra Discus Pro in the USA.

Great vid. I'm in uk, never heard of them, but I have tetra discus pro. My male loves it, but my female wont touch it. Quick question......is there a reason why you don't use the uplift tube on your sponge filters? Anything to do with the bubbles/flow? Ty

I love these fish and would love to have a couple but A) im not sure if they will fit in my tank and B) Im not sure how well they got on with smaller fish such as guppys and mollies. also they cost like £35 a fish here in the UK
