Yea ur right about the enzymes etc. I aldo read that even guppies release these hormones into the water and that also slows down or stops the growth. It bappened to me thats why I loooked into it. Ok good luck

I started breeding Betta not too long ago. The process of breeding is honestly the easiest animal i've ever bred. But rearing the fry into healthy adults is the HARDEST thing I've ever had to do when breeding any animal. After my third attempt in the last 3 weeks (a new female each time), I finally got a healthy clutch. It has been about a 50% survival rate which I am doing better than I thought. I'll give you an update in a few weeks to let you know how it goes. I'm keeping a log of everything each time so I can fix what went wrong or figure out better ways to go about it for the future.

Hi Justin,It`s Tami from Windsor,thanks for the mothersday shout out.I do get a little lazy with water changes because m y platy`s and molly`s are alway`s having fry .I have a 55 gallon and I`m scared to such up the new ones as b eing native I just let them live as who`s ment to be here is here,I got that way buy trying to separate the parents then giving some away to random people who alway`s wanted the biggest ones,Like I`m not a pet store and I my fish out so I have at least 75 fish all different sizes,actually my mickymouse just had her second litter a couple day`s ago and there tiny know and with so many in there I don`t know how many will servive but out of her last litter there`s about 15 and thats cool because with so many molly`s ikt`s cool to have some orange in there know and they were fry that were the only 2 platy`s and he`s not crazy like the horny male molly`s they act like a couple.I`m just worried because I have so many fry and I feed them so much I have to do a water change and it`s going to be dirty,so there just so small I hope they hide good.well take care of your family and your fish.Love your shows.Tami

I'm currently breeding some platys, Dalmatian mollies and guppys :) I recently started working in a pet store where they are teaching me how to breed and I'm really starting to get the hang of it I'm still trying to breed my longfin mountain danios but the female won't release her eggs :/ I'm getting slightly worried that she won't drop them and cause more implications any advice on how to get her to drop the eggs will be great thanks :)

Hey Dustin,I got 2 sets of fry in a 60 gallon tank.Jew cichlids and convict cichlids.its been 4-5 days now and im waiting for a friend to hand over his tank so i can put them in the smaller tank alone.How can you scoop them up?Can you use the suction you use to clean the tank to suck them up or is there a better way?I also have a few yellow labs whick cant really go to the right or the left with the parents protecting their fry,lol.

@simplydotsimply Heck yeah man, I am convinced there is something there. Kinda like aleopathy in plants how they battle for space. It makes sense if a fish has evolved enough to know it is in a small space... Have you been on the forum of fishtanktv ? You've got knowledge to share ;) thanks for watching!
