It's the color pattern. They don't have koi genes in them, just a reference for the way they are colored.

Actually it recorded in 720p, the max. but youtube rendered it out in 480p. Everytime I contact them about this, they respond with "it's a known bug". Which doesn't help us at all :(

Hey Cory, thanks for all your great videos I am subscribed and very happy I made the decision to do so. Been subscribed for a while very happy. That being said, I need you to drop some knowledge on me. I have a guppy set up tank for a few months now. I cycled it, and used the eco-compound substrate which claims to come with bacteriaAnd other beneficial properties in it. I poured the substrate in as well as all the liquid got it set to where it should be an added many plants like Java moss, hornwart, anubias, and some other plants. As well as driftwood. Over the past couple weeks I have had a fish die every other day and I don’t know why. The water parameters are perfect and I test them daily. Do you water changes twice a week and all the fish to die I have no visible signs of infections, no fin damage no white spots no nothing. They just recently had a batch of babies and I am worried they will die. Do you have any suggestions As to what is causing this and what I can do to fix it? You seem like you’re the guppy whisper so please help thanks brother happy new year

Two water changes a week sounds like a lot. Email me your actual water parameters. Most often people water parameters are off as they are unaware of the correct ones for guppies. If it's not the water, which is pretty much always is with guppies. I'd look into internal parasites etc.

When are you getting into saltwater Cory? I’d think you’d be really into zebrasoma tangs, wrasses and clownfish. Clownfish are like the guppy of saltwater. So many designer types.

I was intrigued by the banquet and pleco blocks you mentioned. Do you believe the benefit to inverts is due to them eating the calcium or because it becomes available to them in the water column? The blocks contain magnesium sulfate and calcium sulfate which is basically what makes up the GH booster used by the EI method.

It does both, they eat it and it provides it to the water column. Which is great for soft water states

It was nice to see the one lonesome Japan blue lyretail, I just received 8 juveniles of that variety, I also received 8 juvenile blue star Endlers. My plan for the two groups is to start a mixed colony of the two in one of my 55-gallon tanks. My goal? Feeding my curiosity; I want to see what comes out of it. Also, there is no shame in mixing goldfish and tropical fish. Our two Black mores where not doing well in the unheated goldfish tank, so they are shacking up with two opaline gouramis, two pearl gouramis, and one female Congo tetra in a spare 55-gallon. They are all doing well together, it might not be ideal, but for time being its working.
