I don’t know if you are still considering your goldfish idea but I think it is fantastic. I just bought some from BuyGoldfishOnline. Dandy Oranda’s have been down due to the owner having health issues. It is extremely hard to find online sources with the rarer fancy variety. The source I used have both an option to buy stock and specific fish. I bought a little of both. I love your channel. You do a fantastic service to the fish society and I love your store. Thanks for sharing.

Nope, that time has come and gone, we don't have the infrastructure to handle the demand of people wanting to buy fish from us online. We only sell dry goods and plants currently online.

It's good that you explained why you don't ship online. It's a shame though, John at KG Tropical's, now you, are the only two I've seen that I would trust to send me fish. I know I'm done with local stores! So, I''ll keep watching and listening to reviews until I find a reputable place. I never could find the E-mycin, was that from Amazon? You do take good care of all the kids, I'm sure the wife understands, hopefully, lol! Take good care of you and yours. That was a lot of goldfish,wow. Your business idea makes perfect sense to me. There's market for high end koi, high end fighting fish even a market for high end guppies (insanity). It actually surprises me there's not many people catering to a high end goldfish considering the variety available. Good luck!

Aquarium Co-Op I know that but even your goldfish are in a tiny tank. You wouldn't keep a human in a closet even if you cleaned it eight times a day, so why fish? I understand the quarantine tanks, the fish are to be sold so they're like humans in a hostel, but your own fish... I just don't understand why THEY are there. Your goldfish.

They are all on auto water changing system with 4x water changes a day while going through quarantine, then they go into sales tanks and find appropriately sized homes.

You can be your own transhipper if you want to be. I don't want to be as it's too time consuming to do it correctly and run a store and the online channel so I use a middleman to make it easier.

We won't be unfortunately. The demand was so high we couldn't service everyone. Our online store is growing so fast that we are focusing on that. Which means live plants and dry goods.

You can add fish to most bettas yes. I love simple fish. I love guppies for beautiful fish that gon't get big. As for your betta tank, possibly try some neon tetras? Corydoras etc? If you look more on my channel all our bettas live in community tanks.

I wonder if you're running into male/female issues, if you have a male and a female gets introduced, he'll almost certainly attempt to breed her to death. Possibly a second male would be ok. Also jumping from one to 3 may have better results, but makes the bio load go up by quite a bit.

I love watching these videos! I have beta fish it's a red male butterfly named pheonix I used to have another male (in a separate tank don't worry) but he died from old age of three years. I can't support balloon mollies because of how the balloon belly is made. The spine is severely curved down, compressing the organs and making them prone to swim bladder and causing them pain. The second way is a shortened body, causing the same effect.

Mostly because customs is the problem, not the shipping. Getting fish to live while sitting through customs to another country isn't the easiest thing. Lots of times depending on the country you need a transhipper license to receive the fish in the country even.

I keep mainly African Cichlids(Mbuna mostly) and betas, but I tell you what. To me, Goldfish are a dime a dozen, but that black veil tail was GORGEOUS! I would totally pay what he's worth to have him in a display tank.

Meds are put in the water when shipped a lot of times. Sometimes meth blue, sometimes malachite green. Sometimes sedatives etc.

This is a retail fresh water fish store with high standards. He picks up fish right when they land at the airport, all hours of the day and night to ensure they are in transit as little as possible and quarantined before being sold to the public.

I think it is difficult to maintain good water parameters. It could be a great tank to raise say a guppy spawn etc.

Your dedication and passion is actually astounding. I would love to have a business owner like yourself running the aquariums stores near me, sometimes I feel as though they do not care about quality or variety, so I can never really progress my hobby and explore new species due to the lack of inspiration and variety so to speak.

Is a half gallon tank good for beta? My family sayed that if the box says that it is for a betta then a betta goes in, but I was told by an ex betta breeder that they need at least 5 gallons.

I have a 1 gallon tank for my beta and a 5.5 gallon tank for 3 black mollies and 2 suburts platys, should I put the beta in this tank? So he had more room?

Best thing you could do is buy a cheap 10 gallon tank and try mixing them all in there. As both tanks are quite small for the current tank mates you have.

;-; how could you do this ??!! how would you feel if you were boxed in plastic with only about one centimeter of space to each side you couldn't see and everything was shaking like an earthquake and you almost FREAKING die and your always gonna be inclosed in 1 foot,filmed 24-7 and fed the same food EVERY day ;-; I don't want to be rude but, that's what every goldfish pet feels please take care of them and never sell them they will feel that every time they are selled.

Hi Shawna, I'd recommend testing your water first, once we know what your pH is and hardness out of the tap, we can recommend easy fish for you. But most people find community tanks easy to keep. But sometimes African cichlids make sense or live bearers in hard water etc.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy your videos... I yelled out in excitement when I saw all the goldfish I recently switched over my 75 gallon community tank to a goldfish tank so I'm very very very excited for the goldfish.
