3 lamps odysea T5HO arround 100W each, if I recall correct.

Am trying to do the same white background on my tanks too. My tank has a bluish tinge. Planning to amp-up the wattage on lamps.

Nice aquarium setup. Looks amazing with the Discus. All the different colored Discus is no my style (in my eyes it looks like an gumball machine ;)) but its amazing the relaxing feeling this aquarium gives me. Lots of kudos for you.

The sand does not let the "poop" penetrate, so just siphon. Is important to have eartheaters, like biotodomas or juriparis. Those keep the sand very clean.

@orionbelt3 The only & definitive way to identify a male from a female is actually watch when they are laying eggs, female has a small "tube" and she put the eggs (wich you can see), male doesn´t.
