Happy New Year everyone! Figured the new year called for some new fish in a newly scaped tank; and we'll open some new fish! ******************************************************************** Subscribe here: https://goo.gl/4OO1ml ******************************************************************* Small little fish room update as we open up and unpack new fish and plants! So remember the 20 long from my fish room? For a while it had what I considered the best scape of all my tanks. But it like everything else took a hit and actually I sort of turned my back on this particular fishtank quite a long time ago. But I was able to salvage a few of the plants in there. Couple of what I believe to be crypt parva remain from that old scape. I took a trip to the LFS and surprisingly enough the local fish store was open on New Year's Eve. Got some crypt undulata, java fern, crinum calamistratum, and micro sword. Unlike in the past, this time around we'll have no pressurized co2 running on this tank or any other for the time being. After getting all those new plants in there I was able to pick from my collection of driftwood to finish off this aquascape. I really like the smaller twiggy kind of pieces I was able to use. Then I added in 10 cherry barbs. I don't think I've ever kept them before and figured it was time. I also added in 9 corydora habrosus (a/k/ the salt and pepper cory). I know I've kept cories in the past, but not sure if I've ever kept this particular type before. Maybe not a fish unboxing necessarily, but opening up and unpacking new fish is always awesome! Once those were all said and done, we got 3 new Glofish for my daughter's tank. I let her have a try at releasing the fish into the tank.
