Usually when you have a carpeting plant in your aquarium, siphoning your substrate is not necessary. Plus, siphoning planted tank substrate will deprive your plants of essential nutrients because along with fish waste, dirt, iron and silt will be siphoned out.

Grow sorry about that.

I use eco complete black flourite. I also added iron tabs into the substrate to increase the red coloration in my plants.

That's called pearling. It happens when the plants in the tank consume co2 thus producing raw, pure oxygen for the fish. If your plants aren't doing this and you're pumping co2 in your tank, your fish will most likely die due to lack of oxygen.

Hey, this might be a stupid question but please answer it, I have a 16watt led lighting fixture for my 25 gallon tank which is 0.64watts. If i add another fixture, would it double the lighting for my tank turning it into a 1.28 wpg lighting system so i can grow medium light plants or would it just barely increase lighting in my tank??

It's absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for immortalizing it in this state by taking photos and videos and publishing it to the public.

I like the Aquascape on this tank and the plants look really nice. I pickup 3 Siamese algae eaters and 4 albino Cory's. Now there's a lot of movement in the tank with the new additions. How long ago did you add the lava rock cause the tank looks a little cloudy. I remember when I put two porous rock The tank got a little cloudy for a few days. Good luck man.

No Problemo! Yeah, just take 4-5 cuttings then plant them all together in a bunch, then keep doing the bunches like 1" - 3/4" apart! If you looked up Rotala Aquascape pics, on yahoo, or google you can see a lot of people do it.

Consider getting mountain cloud minnows/ tetras/ fancy guppies. These fish make a good community tank and are very hardy. (Mostly the mountain cloud minnows)

Tank is looking good. But watching your old videos, I know you won't be satisfied with just a couple little fish in the tank. I can picture some discus in there!

I like the Baby Tears on the lava rocks. That looks sweet. The c02 is bumping too! There are a ton of small bubbles in there! Now it's time to sit back and enjoy!

You should plant 4-5 rotala stems together and in many bunches, then trim it 3/4 the way down, then let it grow, then trim in down 1/2 down. it will get very bushy and lush!

i had some tanks in the past, i found out i liked the proces to getting it done more satisfying then when it was done. watch out for this please, i see you changing so much. stick to something when ur done and let it evolve from there. get some expansive fish and try to breed them and give them the best natural enviorment inside a tank as possible. i got rid of my tanks years ago but when i see u it kinda reminds me of myself back in the days. first things first, health of the fish! good job!!
