No Poor Fish. That's A Very Nice Tank. And They Are Very Healthy By Appearance. I Really Like The Species You Chose. I Have A TSN, RTC & TSNxRTC. Going To Build A Pond When I Get My 1st House Next Year. I Really Want A Ray To Go With My Cats Shortly Thereafter. But Sounds Like Your In A Shed During A Snow Storm Lol.

Do you ever find your datnoid being aggressive toward the more placid fish such as the discus? Had a dat for 2.5 years, recently bought discus just a couple of months ago.. Was told they should be fine but my dat chases them around and I had to put a divider in the tank as he caused a little fin damage!

+Alex H - I currently have 6 Datnoids & over the years I have owned roughly 15/20 ranging from a few inches to the big 11 /12" one in the video & have never had any issues with aggression.
IMO Dats are one of the most timid fish you can keep providing they don't see another fish as a meal that is.

this tank for the fish would be like you locked in a completely white room devoid of any furniture and anything else to stimulate the mind - forever
the only stimulation would come at feeding time when you would have to compete with your fellow prisoners for food.
decorate for fuck sake!
you may have to look at it, but they have to live in it.
otherwise nice fish.

p.s rays should be on sand not gravel.

I'm pretty sure fish don't give a shit whats around them, all they are programmed to do is stay alive & having nothing in a tank makes it easier to clean. Clean tank + happier fish & as for the substrate it is sand, the wrong kind of sand I found out after I bought it, but definitely sand.

Yes the 2 discus in my 450 used to live in my 180, did have 4 but unfortunately 2 died when I moved them !
