Hey LifeWithPets I'm a new subscriber and I've started to watch this channel a while ago and I decided I wanted to get in the hobby myself but where I live I can't find any pet stores other then the pets mart near me but they don't have a good selection of fish and the fish don't look that heathy either so I'm really confused on what to do but anyways keep up the good work and have a happy new year~

I need help my tank has fish waste all over the sides I keep doing water changes and clean it off I also clean the filter so idk what else to do I have only two bettas in there who are going to move to 2.5 gallon separate tanks and I want to have guppies in there so should I get snails and that would help or what? Please help!

i love the water change and gravel vac videos there so soothing and you feel great at the end knowing the fish are happy and set for another week. And honestly you are right about how much water you change i have done 98 % water changes everyweek for the last 7 years on all my tnaks and i have never had a sick fish shrimp or snail, You know your fish better than others will x

I have a question about the air pumps, so I bought this air pump for my betta tank with the intent to get a spongefilter for it, and I was called a 'silent air pump' but in fact it makes 5 times the noise that my regular filter makes, but that one is a bit too powerful, and now my dilemma is, how do I find a quiet filter so that i can sleep at night (its in my bed room) but one that is good for a betta fish? and how do you manage it? You said that sponge filters are the best for a betta

We use the tetra whisper air pump to run our sponge filters. We have 3 running in our bedroom with no problems at all.

Yes, the tank is full of shrimp too. The guppies possibly eat some but not many as the colony of shrimp is growing.

A 10 gallon tank, but if you don't want them to breed you'd need an all male or female tank.

how far do you fill up the water in the tank if you have floating plants, because if you fill to bottom of rim than they are too close right? i usually fill them to the bottom of the rim or a little below and about an inch if i have snail?

I’m so in to Betta fish it’s not funny! I currently have 2 Betta fish in the same tank a male and female but they are divided. They show no signs of aggression at all. They do stare at each other but they never flare. My female is a Fancy Koi Half moon plaket and my make is a vail tail. They are some of the easiest fish to take care of.

So 2 females can live in the same divided tank? Because I’m planning on putting the male back into a 5 gallon tank for him self so he don’t cause to much stress on the female...And I’m planning on putting another female in my Divided 20 gallon tank where he was.

Bettas are addictive! It is not ideal to keep a male and female in a divided tank for a long period of time. They give off hormones that over time will cause stress and the female will keep producing eggs.
