So I have the white hair like fungus on my manzanita, how do u keep yours clean and keep the fungus from growing?I’ve tried everything. I have 17 Tetras and 11 panda Corydoras and none of the fish eat it, it grows back rapidly

Old growth evenly yellowing and dying back to feed new growth indicates nitrogen deficiency, most likely need all 3 macros NKP... dose the water keep it under 1600ppm won't hurt your fish and you will see explosive growth and less algae

When you scrape algae, should you siphon out the pieces / do water changes?

I usually have fish that eat it after it's scraped off, but you totally could. I usually do the water change after doing the algae scrubbing.

Thing there's something in the ether. The 125 I've talk of in live streams and such, I did the same thing. Was an African Cichlid tank, that was maintained and that's about it. So got the bug to move it, was going to do a reef, but, well, saltwater water changes. So it's now in the process of becoming a planted tank, with fish I've never kept and and have always wanted. Cory and Joel have been a great source of inspiration and information (like the fluval 2.0).

I have e. tenellus (dwarf chain sword) in my planted tank. It definitely likes your Easy Green, and it really likes CO2. It did well before I added pressurized CO2, but, after adding it, it was off to the races. It quickly carpeted every open space it could reach.

You should do a group of glass knife fish. They get pretty big (males around 40cm and female closer to 20cm) but they have small mouths so won’t eat your other fish.

Hello there mr McEllroy and mr Whiskey , I have a piece off Spiderwood like yours but it keeps growing fungus and I think it smells some times when I lift it to do my cleaning. , weekly 50 % water change . I am keeping rainbows in it. Will a uv light help me get rid off the fungus or is it a matter off time till it disappears? My tank is running for 2 months now. With the water changes I get rid off the most fungus but it's back in a day or two. The Spiderwood piece is filled up with mosses and java v windelov, that makes it not possible to brush it all the way. My wishes for you both are the best thinkable for 2018. Happy new year and thanks for your work last year, greetings from The Netherlands

You need micro nutrients in the water for the stratum to then absorb thus feeding the roots
