my discus is about size from 3 to 4 inch, so how long it takes for them could get to 6 inch and become to completely turning colorful ?

Help me, I thought that would be diatomaceous earth, and that can be very very fine and cloudy ?

Not the stuff I have. Works great. $5 for a 50lb bag at Menards. As you can see from my video, the water is not cloudy, but rather crystal clear. I also use filter socks and micron mesh in my filtration, but that's an entirely different conversation. Videos on my filtration system are on my YouTube page.

I have 3 discus tanks currently and go through quite a bit of water, especially for the grow out juveniles. Its insane, but necessary.
