I keep the heat off to manage electric bills. Woke up to a balmy 35 degrees F this morning
There is one thing I always ask my self, here in Colombia most of the rivers come from the Andes, so the water is always cold, around 18 - 20 Celsius or even below, may be small string of water or shallow waters, may be it could be 24 Celsius, but not 28 Celsius. I leave in Bogota, an the water in my aquarium without heater is about 20 Celsius, and I have guppies, Corydoras, red nouse, colisas lalia, etc. and I don't have problem with the temperature what so ever.
