I know of many that do this. Unless the tapwater has a very high pH and hardness it is no problem. Wild brown and blue discus live in fairly neutral, soft water so they will handle tap water better. I had these discus in 7,6 pH water doing almost daily water changes straight from the tap!

I have an Altum angel, it’s an F1 but when I bought them they say they were raised in tap water so no need to change the ph of the water, does anyone do the wild looking discus like this that you know of?

They are regular sterbai corys, its probably just the light that makes them look more yellow!
