How do you get the ratio of plants to fish right so that the plants take in all the ammonia and cutoff the nitrogen cycle? Btw love your tanks!

Theres no magic numbers or ratios and so many variables to look at it like that. Read what I wrote above and will explain it more. The way I keep the tanks is natural and the ferts only feed the plants which arent completely necessary. Once you have the environment going it sustains itself with the variable differences, water changes also make a difference.

L.R.Bretz's Aquatics I checked that video out but didn’t really get the answer or info I was looking for. Would love to get your thought on plant stock to Fish stock to manage nitrogen cycle. No ferts or anything just all natural with filtration. Tank on!

Thanks! For starts you get the tank cycled and going with plants first then add fish slowly here and there and it all balances itself out. The plants and fish have a very symbiotic relationship that takes care of the extra ammonias and nitrates and if they plants arent eating the excess algae will to help balance it naturally. I have a video how I do one day instant cycles not to far down my upload list which I would recommend watching.

Lol as they get older they can get really big, especially the females. But for the most part they dont really put on weight from eating just from maturity.

Synodontis Lace Cats. I got them as babies and they got huge in my 180 bow living off shrimp and snails that naturally all coexisted in the tanks amongst many other fish.

Personally why I wouldnt is that I try to steer clear from imports if possible. Also it can be a gamble and turn and burn operation. I have heard many good things and bad things. They do have good selection and is a good option for people that dont have many other options.
