FEEDING TIME @ 2:00 Hi all these are my 6 ring leapord discus fish close up @ 3:00 housed in a 100 gallon planted aquarium. They share there tank with 20 cardinal tetras, 10 rummynose tetras, 8 clown loaches, 1 redtailed black shark, 1 gold nuggett plec, 1 albino ancistrus, 1 tiger panaque, 1 whiptail catfish, 5 cory sterbai, 2 otolincus, 1 hopolo catfish. Lighting is timed and is 4 t5 tubes and 2 blue tubes and I run a 2kg co2 fire extinguisher through there.

just wondering if these fish were grown in this tank or added after they were grown , i have just started with discus and everyone is telling me not to grow them in my planted commune tank.

I am very sorry for what happened, but these are problems that can happen to anyone, including myself. The only remedy may be to install a power generator because, believe me, you spend your holidays more relaxing knowing that everything is under control. Bye Gaetano

@apulia75 thanks! I have to do an update as I had a MAJOR DISASTER, whilst on holiday we had a power cut and the CO2 extinguisher kept going, unfortunately I lost 3 discus, a gold nugget plec and some tetras :(. However the tank is back together and looking good again.

Hi, thanks for you comments mate, I do a 50% water change once a week with conditioned tap water. I would rather use RO and have all the kit but have had difficulty setting up a good system and am waiting till I move house to set it up properly. However the fish seem to like the water fine and have been very healthy for the 8 months which I have had them.
