here is the latest addition to our house which is starting to resemble a small zoo. the tank is 157L around about 33 gallons i think not worked it out. tank contains 11 cardinal tetras and 6 discus, which i bought from a guy called discus jake. the 6 discus cost me £140 they are only youngsters, and only around 3" in size so i will be looking to for a much larger tank for them in the next few years. i'm thinking 6ft. thinking of getting this tank from http://barlows-aquarium-supplies.com/page/aquariums_and_cabinets. i can't stress how much better jakes discus http://jakesdiscusaquatics.co.uk/ are from the ones in my local pet store and garden centers plus they are half the price. well worth the 1hr drive to get there. can't remember the name of the discus i have but i think i might have 2x leopard turqs 1x albino yellow diamond 1x chequered board 1x cobalt blue 1x snake skin pigeon blood like i say not sure on those names, let me know if you know. the temp is around 31-32c, ph 6.6-6.8, i use a fluval CO2 canister, have a 1100L p/h filter, and a 200w heater i think not sure on that. tortiose is called shelly she is a hermann, 2nd tank is 125L, with fluval U3 internal filter + home made k1 media filter, ph is around 7.0-7.2 it contains 2 corydoras, 2 otto's 2, 2 cherry shrimp, 5 zebra danios, started off with 5 platty's but now there are loads, i regret getting the plattys as they are live bearers and its just a pain having so many of them in there, and the fish shops wont take them untill there of a decent size, i've probably got about 5 or 6 which they will take now but its just getting the time to do it. also you may want to try http://www.chensdiscus.co.uk/stocklist/ to get your discus from. butit was too far for me, and didn't want my discus arriving by post and he seems a little more expensive.
