You do NOT need any prior training or certification! Your trained and certified SCUBA dive instructors will begin by teaching you all the basics before you practice on land and then they will take you on a safe, shallow dive with them at your side. Your Cozumel Discover SCUBA Diving Course and Boat Reef Dive Excursion begins with a short classroom theories course about diving and the gear you will be using. They will assist you in getting you fitted with the equipment and have you practice in the shallows, breathing under water before you go on a one tank dive from a boat with them. Your instructor will be by your side the entire way to assist you and point out all the interesting things underwater. You will be exploring one of the famous Cozumel reefs for a real one tank dive from boat to a maximum depth of 25 feet of depth. This is a great introduction and just might get you hooked into proceeding to get your dive certification later! The actual dive itself is approximately 1 hour.
