You really should take out the snorkel when diving because in case of a blackout you WILL take in water and drown. Just a safety tip :)

Spear fishing is by far my favorite so glad I've gotten the opportunity to spear fish Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. If you like spear fishing that's definitely need to put that location on your bucket list. Keep up the awesome videos!!!!

+Darcizzle Offshore Yep Australia just ticked over 24 million this week and it is nearly as big as the USA. I think Florida just ticked over 20 million. This deer meat for dinner couple live in Jupiter. They have spearfishing, fishing, alligator hunting etc. Really good channel. Looks like Florida is a great place to fish.

love your freediving videos I have a question where did you get your black dive socks that you wore in this video I've checked and looked haven't found them anywhere the reason I'm asking is I'm gonna be planning on taking scuba in the next few years i'm also gonna have to learn freediving too I'm gonna need those kind of socks for the dive fins they keep your feet comfortable and from chafing also like how they look could you comment back if you know where

thank you for getting back to me
were those the actual socks or the dive boots its hard to tell underwater watching these diving videos I have checked and looked haven't found the ones you were wearing anywhere not even on amazon or ebay I hope I don't have to either get on a plane to california or florida to find them which isn't and wouldn't because moneywise I'm only gonna need them if and only if I advance to freediving in the openwater and hopefully taking scuba in the next 2 or 3 years I haven't even gotten back into the water and begun divepool which won't to at least spring and also if my doctor MD approves it medically it is my dream and hope to get there and to hopefully dive under the water someday just like you in these diving videos I hope you make more of them could you comment back again whether they were the dive boots or dive socks either way dive safe dive well this year

Darci, take your snorkel out of your mouth when diving, leaving it in will cause your lungs to fill with water should you faint .. ' Shallow Water Blackout ' Leaving it out gives you a much better chance of being rescued before drowning.

Spit your snorkel out of your mouth underwater to relax your jaw and close your mouth to water when surfacing. 2. Don't look down before you get to the bottom as this slows your decent.

+John Bettua Thanks. We have since taken the Level 1 Freediver Course and are certified now. You take the snorkel out of your mouth primarily so that if you blackout water does not rush into your lungs. Yes, that is the proper descent form, but I was only in about 20' of water so not much descending. You should take the course with Ted Harty, Immersion Freediving.

Fresh King fish is good eating if you generously skin the fish (don't cut get too close to the skin) and cut the approximately 1" wide oily center lengthwise out of each filet, so that basically you end up with four fillets. I've done this many times and had great tasting fish. Unlike Snapper and Grouper it does not freeze well though so only harvest what you'll eat tonight.
