Hi, In the case that water comes into the mask, do I need to move up the mask and breathe out from my nose in order to flash the water out from the mask?

No. You push up on the mask to plug your nose when you want to equalize your ears. To clear the mask you just breath out, either through your mouth, your nose, or both, and the water will go out the exhaust/purge valve at the chin of the mask. It's easier than clearing a regular mask, because with a regular mask your mouth isn't inside the mask like it is with a full-face mask. If you have a lot of water in the mask you can push the purge button at the same time you breath out, and the water will be flushed out very fast.

How would you use back up regulator and how does equalizing work?

I find just relaxing the jaw (yawn) equalizes like a dream.
A quick disconnect is a must, and the ridiculously overpriced(highway robbery) SAV is sadly recommended.

To use backup regulator you have to take the mask off. Its not that hard. Equalize by pushing the top of mask in, this will plug your nose with those two built in nose plugs.

Faces and heads come in different shapes and sizes in any age group, so you'd definitely want to go to a dive shop to get properly fitted; this is, after all, life support equipment. However due to the cost I'd start him off with a regular mask of his own, and rented or borrowed regulator until he's older and knows for sure that he wants to be a diver.

Only if you want to breathe air. If you want to breathe water, then just open up the side ports. (You do have gills, right?)

+Simply Scuba The only piece i haven't been able to find a clip of is the octopus insert. Does your buddy have to remove the mouth piece from their octo to be able to help you?
