Wow, you have gone deeper than all my friends. I so much agree with you about the time frame needed to do Maui right! Unfortunately, I only had a few days......still the catamaran that I was on was so much fun it gave a sense of being a complete experience. Tell you what I've been up to, I got a surface unit from OTS and I slip the transponder over the side and play music for the divers that have comm. gear diving off my boat. They literally say, "This Rocks"!

@Getsen42 i dive in the st lawrence, and have done a hand full of dives in florida, but from a commercial stand point i have done 21, maximum depth so far has been 231m, i wish to go deeper but currently there is no need so... either way some beautiful places you have dove at, and maui is incredible! you need at least 2 weeks in my opinion to do it properly and see all the sites! But just the fact that you have been!

@kentzaca , my favorite diving is local in the lower Florida Keys, however I dove Maui once for a couple days and been diving Stetson Reef and The Flower Gardens in Texas. I like oil rigs and platforms in the gulf and caribbean and the jetties around Port Aransas, TX because even without spectacular views - to me they are relaxing, there are few other divers so no rush. I dove freshwater lakes in several southern states including Missouri, Texas (Lake Travis, etc.), Florida and Louisiana. You?

@kentzaca , South Florida (the Keys and Miami Beach). I am a Divemaster and have a boat converted from a party barge to a dive boat. I am also a scientist and use my underwater communications for experimentation.... I love these dive videos. They give off good, high energy.

Surface Com has always been a concern for entanglement. I was with Dive Rescue 53 when these first came out (called AGA by Interspiro at the time) and divers had to be kept on different search patterns or lines would spaghetti with standard patterns. I prefer the wireless but it's not nearly as reliable as hard-wired. They also, though screw connected to Com, often broke the plastic threads and unplugged. We went back to line communications - more reliable.

I use the OTS guardian with the SP100 surface unit and the buddy phones XT100, what are the comm cables and why are you using them girls?
