Snorkeling Breakers Reef | Snorkeling Breakers Hotel Reef The Breakers Reef in Palm Beach Dive: The Breakers Reef in Palm Beach is the remains of an old pier. It's an easy reef to swim to, but getting to the entry point is where you need to pay close attention. Once you arrive on the beach infront of the hotel, we recomand entering the water south of the Breakers Reef. This is due to the current that pushes north. The Breakers Hotel Reef is about 150 feet out......parallel to the edge of the hotel building. There's almost always a strong current at the Breakers Reef and fins are needed at this dive site, in addition to a dive flag. Hi Jake, The Breakers Reef DOES NOT depend on the tide. Getting to the beach entrance point is easy, not simple. We have a page on our site dedicated to The Breakers Reef. Visit SinkFloridaSink[DOT]com and search Breakers Reef (YouTube doesn't let us post links as a comment) Here you can see google map that shows where to park, and our own map that shows the reef and entry points. Because its not simple, We feel the maps on the website would be more helpful than us trying to type it here.

How do you get out to this spot? And is it as tide dependent as Blue Heron Bridge?

Thank you. Glad you like our video. This was shot on a GoPro Hero3 Black Edition at 1080 60fps. No filter was used. The dive started with great viz, but then as the clouds rolled in, the viz weakened. At this time, we only use a filter when diving from a boat.
