Hi, this artefact produce eletrolysis, acumulation of oxygen. This acumulation over water and deteriorates algae. When the electrolysis takes place the mesh oxidizes and the iron oxide ends
up reacting with the phosphate present in aquarium water precipitating
and reducing it. This helps us in some way to reduce algae beyond the
same electrolysis which is the main function of the apparatus. The downside is that the steel contains
chromium and that is a problem, I am testing with 316L steel at
this time. Twinstar (electrolysis) does not eliminate algae, it prevents
them.
