Wow, impressive video showing truly magnificent ponds!

Here in Sweden very few people have ponds, but being from Holland i build already three i our garden. One of them is a salt-water swimming pond with a gravel filter planted with Phragmites. Planning now to extend a stream and changing a little waterfall pond into a larger lilly pond. Will be tough to match Aquascape's building standards though :)

I live in Hawaii and my friend use to live next door to a house with a saltwater pond. There were sharks, rays and a variety of reef fish. It was intense.

In a typical backyard pond we use our skimmers: http://store.aquascapeinc.com/c/pond-filtration_skimmers to collect floating debris. We also recommend netting your pond in the fall for those few weeks when leaves are falling.

Overflowing is not bad at all ;) There are a lot of plants that like soil that regularly gets very wet. Irisses are a good example. ;)

I`ve watched this video a few times and love it every time. I'm in the process of doing my second micro version. It would be great to have such a large piece of property in our city so we could create such a, masterpiece as shown in this video. I love the large stones used, not overly croweded with small insignificant ones. Aquascape Breath Taking Job

I know one owner who has an incredible pond comparable to several of these large ponds featured. I believe they payed close to 100G. To be fair I know Aquascape offers ponds in the under 10 range but yeah for anybody on an extreme budget? Better start researching how to do it yourself. Little tip. Don't go cheap on parts. Liner, skimmer box, waterfall weir, pump, etc. Use big rocks to frame in your waterfall if you can and try your best to break up the edging of the pond. No ring of rocks.

I love the area below the pond at 3:20. Lets the kids have an area to play in the water, without the risk of them playing in standing water. My son would love that part. He can spend hours playing on his little water tub that is filled with water. This would be 10 times better. Beautiful video by the way.

Building well over 2000 water features since 1982 using rebar & concrete- years before Greg founded Aquascape... I was replacing leaky liner ponds with concrete & rebar & assisting clients attorneys as an expert witness in lawsuits. I'd never seen so many fly by night greedy "pond builders" scamming customers and disappearing, I was concerned for the pond industries reputation! Now that most are gone & the reputable builders are left- my opinion of liners has changed! kudos for Aquascape! Doug
