are the 3 way connectors also waterproof? Can I instal 3 x 6 watt LED lights in my pond and then just have the one lead from the 3 way splitter coming out of my pond (so the 3 water splitter is actually submerged in the pond?)

Also are there color filters for the lights at all?

1) The 3 way connectors are not designed to be waterproof and shouldn't be submerged.2) You can absolutely connect (3) 6-watt LEDs into the splitter and then just have 1 connection into the transformer.3) There are no color filters for the LED lights at this time.

Do you find that algae build-up on lights tends to be a problem?

Over time you may get some algae build-up on the lights, but wouldn't consider it a problem. It takes quite a bit of algae to prevent the light from shining through it. Lights lenses can be easily wiped cleaned with your finger.
