hi james how are you?
i have problem with my tank 200co*50cm*60cm the CO2 cannot cover all tank i try use API co2 booster but also without any results, can you help me please?
second a question please, when time start co2 and when time close it?

the lights should not be synced but should start an hour before the lights come on and stop an hour before they turn off

I'm not James, I am not associated with TGM in any way, and without seeing your setup I can't really say much on your first question, but I can tell you that plants use CO2 as part of the photosynthetic process, which only occurs while they're exposed to sunlight(or aquarium plant lighting). Ideally, your CO2 system should cycle on and off with your aquarium lights.

What are those bubbles that are raising from the plants ? oxygen or do you have CO2 pump in the substrate ? or the plants release some oxygen ?

actually, this is called pearling. As the plants create oxygen the surface tension of the water keeps the oxygen held in place until it has enough mass to break the tension. My tank does this without CO2 injection. Also if you actually watch the video you can see the bubbles rising throughout the entire tank. Now unless you think he is running an under-gravel CO2 system, that is oxygen being released from the plants. "boobles"....

+Paul Marriner definitely not oxygen from plants, this isnt the way how its made... when plants creating oxygen they doing it one by one molecule, so while oxygen molecules leaving the plants they become solved in water. i think these boobles are from the co2 system

+TheFirefox8192 The substrate doesn't need cleaning. We do remove (syphon) sediment from the aquarium during maintenance though.

Recently bought an 8ft x 2ft x 2ft tank, looking for ideas for an aquascape for 3 my different turtles. Can you give me any tips for this project? Plants aren't really an option as they will get eaten. Do you have any possible techniques I could use with rocks?

Check out a guy named Dustin on Youtube. Dustin uses organic potting soil under gravel with some red clay. It works great, I can personally attest to it!

you need to supply enough co2 and nutrients for in order for the plants to fully utilise the light and photosynthesise

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of this layout. I love James' other work, but not this one. It may be the choice of fish, or the fact that the stones are so difficult to see. It may look different in person, but from the video, it doesn't do anything for me.

This tank has inspired me to set up my Iwagumi tank. I plan on a 100 gallon tank and the simplicity of style of the Iwaugumi layout is appealing. Thank you for the inspiration. The tank is even more breathtaking than the day it was created, and I did not think that was possible!

the size is mind-blowing, plants looks so healthy. but i don't like the design much - it just looks too flat in the centre. i wish it had more texture.
