in the video I noticed your in current. do you not normally want to retrieve your lure with the current? if so you would want to anchor facing into the current correct?

Pretty much the same as the anchor buddy for boats. The problem is you can't use an anchor trolley with this setup so you're at the mercy of the current and wind once anchored, and yeah, that anchor rigging is all wrong.

this seems like a good idea, but very flawed design. if your in fast moving water or hook up on a big fish this is no way to dump the anchor w/a float and return to the hook up, or even worse if your hung on some rocks/trees. This looks like a great product until something goes wrong or you hook a hawg.

First mistake was attaching that rope to the top of the anchor. It should be bolted with chain from the bottom then zip tied to the top. Second, how are you gonna ditch the rope if you mistakenly achor in fast water and the current pulls the rear of the kayak under? You are in deep s##t when that happens and it does. You need to abort the anchor immediately or sink.

+ Keith James Lapere, I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying that you would want to move the anchor line to the bow so that you wouldn't be casting into the wind?

Hi JBlaze,
If the a Anchor hooked on some rocks the best way to get loose is by releasing tension on the spool, allowing the rope to spool out. Then you are free to paddle up to your anchor and pull it free. That is the best way to do it, we are currently working on making it better.
